We have had a few productions release podcasts in the years past who have done so without notifying us, which is not always a ‘bad’ thing, yet it is still nice to be forewarned. Elsha, the writer for this episode of Casefile, contacted us weeks ago to inform us of their intent, which we are most grateful for.
“My name is Elsha and I’m a writer and researcher for Casefile, a world leading true crime podcast with a global audience of over one million listeners per episode,” she had written. “I promise I’ll do my very best to produce an accurate, detailed story that highlights the incredible people that Ray and Jennie were.”
My wife and I had recently binged many of their podcasts. We were not ‘true crime’ enthusiasts in any way prior to Ray and Jennie’s fateful trip, however we have felt it necessary since in order to find some semblance of understanding, in how to both deal with their unnatural loss, and also to find a path forward out of the muck and filth. Casefile is by far our favourite of the true crime genre, so we were ‘excited’ – for want of a better word.
Casefile is unlike any other podcast we’ve heard before – ‘Casey’ is a powerful storyteller, somewhat mixed between an audiobook and true crime reporter. Sally listens to their podcasts as a means to fall asleep, such is the deep tonality of his voice.
They sent us a copy of this episode last week which we listened to whilst on holiday, blowing bubbles in our Bali villa pool. It is brilliantly researched, written, and performed. The promise made to highlight “the incredible people that Ray and Jennie were,” I believe easily met.
The final two minutes – the ‘key’ message – is … *kiss fingers* superb. I hope it generates the actions required for a rightful resolution.
Thank you Elsha, Casey, and the entire Casefile crew.
Please listen and share.

Just listened to the podcast on Spotify. Question for the family - have you contracted any Ground-penetrating Rader (GPR) contractors to help find Jennie?
Just listened to the podcast. I'm in NZ and this is the first time I have heard anything about your brother and his partners case. Mis-step after mis-step from the Police, really hope this exposure brings someone or something out of the woodwork for you guys.
